There are two methods for cooling the caps, using either a biomedical freezer or using dry ice.

Using a freezer is by far the easiest method. Unfortunately, there are not enough facilities where these type of freezer's are available and dry ice must be used to cool the caps to the proper temperature.

While having the availability of a freezer is beneficial it doesn't eliminate the need of bringing a cooler with dry ice. I always bring a cooler with 30 -40 lbs of dry ice and have on many occasions been glad that I did.

I am sharing with you my tried and true methods in effort to make this process as simple for you as possible. While, I have been a practicing cold cap technician longer than anyone in the US, I do not work for any company that manufactures the cold caps for scalp cooling. Therefore, I am free to share with you what they won't.

I know what works, and what doesn't.

To begin you will need these supplies:

2 Igloo Ice Cube Cooler's

12 Hefty 2 1/2 gallon zip plastic bags

Cotton type gloves

Hammer

50 lbs Dry Ice in slab form
